Patrick Carrolls Football Schedule

Football Schedule May 23rd, 2016

Feature Matches

This week we have the USMNT in two Friendlies, as they make their final adjustments before the Copa America Centenario begins next week!  First up they take on Ecuador, with a 6pm kick off time on Wednesday night!  Saturday night they meet Bolivia, also with a 6pm start time!  This will be Klinsmann's last chance to get the troops prepared, before the United States faces a very difficult Group Stage in the tournament!

Preparations continue for EURO 2016, with a handful of Friendlies this week.  Highlights include England v AustraliaSwitzerland v BelgiumSpain v BosniaGermany v Slovakia, and Italy v Scotland!

Saturday promises to be an extraordinary football day for Denver's footy fans!  At 10am we have the "richest game in football", as Hull City and Sheffield Wednesday meet at Wembley to decide which Club will be promoted to the Premiership next season!  Almost immediately following this match we turn our attention to the Champions League Final!  The game will be a rematch of the 2014 Final, where Real Madrid had to come from behind to defeat their cross town rivals Atletico Madrid!  Atletico, and their fiery manager Diego Simeone, will be keen to exact revenge here. Zinedine Zidane has turned  fortunes around for the team he brought to Champions League glory so many years ago, can he win as Manager for Real in this massive Cup Final?  Anyway you slice it, this match will be epic!

The Colorado Rapids went to Seattle and earned three points, for their eighth straight match without a defeat!  Now they welcome the team at the top of the Eastern Conference, the Philadelphia Union, to DSG on Saturday night!  The Rapids are undefeated at home, and have won all six of their games at home.  We can expect a different team here though, as many of our top players will be involved with their respective National Teams.  It will be interesting to see how the rest of the squad rallies, as they attempt to keep their perch atop the League table!

We have one more big match at DSG to finish out the week, when Brazil meet Panama on Sunday night!  Both sides are making their final preparations for the Copa, which provides us a unique chance to enjoy some great football right in our own backyard!

On the Horizon

Preparations continue for the Summer tournaments with more International Friendlies early in the week!  TheUSWNT and Japan square off at DSG on Thursday night, in a rematch of the last two Women's World Cup Finals!  TheCopa America Centenario kicks off on Friday night, with the USA battling Colombia in the first match of the tournament!
