Patrick Carrolls Football Schedule

Football Schedule July 27th, 2016

Feature Matches

Thursday night the best of MLS take on Arsenal in this year's edition of the MLS All Star Game!  Pregame starts at 5:30pm, with the match kicking off at 6pm MST.  Arsenal, a perennial UEFA Champions League contender, finished second in the Premiership last year.  They will provide staunch competition for the MLS All Stars, who are composed of budding talent and plenty of veteran leadership!  MLS has won the last two All Star contests by a 2-1 margin, and will look to continue their run here against one of London's best Clubs!

International Champions Cup has arrived in the States, and features on Wednesday and Saturday!  Many of the World's best Clubs participate in this competition, as they prepare for their upcoming 2016/17 seasons.  Wednesday night we have three matches, including Chelsea v Liverpool kicking off at 9pm.  Saturday there are no less than five ICC matches to enjoy throughout the day.

Colorado Rapids are heading to Yankee Stadium to face New York City FC on Saturday afternoon (1pm MST)!  Colorado stretched their unbeaten run to fifteen games against FC Dallas last weekend, and have their work cut out for them here against the top side in the Eastern Conference.  NYCFC's pitch is stuffed into a baseball stadium, making it one of the smallest in MLS.  At the end of the day this may not be a  disadvantage for a Colorado defense ranked #1 in the league, although the Rapids are likely to be without Jermaine Jones again.  City boasts a star studded roster, with the likes of Andrea PirloDavid Villa, and Frank Lampard plying their trade for them.  This should make for a good match, and another tough test for the Rapids as they try and chase down Dallas for the Supporters Shield honors.
On the Horizon

Next week the USWNT kick off their bid at Olympic Gold, with matches Wednesday and Saturday!  The English Championship's first match of 2016/17 has Fulham taking on Newcastle Friday afternoon!  The Colorado Rapidsare at home against Vancouver on Saturday night, and Leicester City meet Manchester United in the Community Shield match Sunday morning!
